What is stored

A cookie remembering which language you chose, so you are not asked twice, and a session cookie if you sign in to manage a listing or a booking. Nothing else is set unless you do something that needs it.

If you send the contact form, subscribe to the newsletter, book a tour or add a business, we keep what you typed — so we can reply, so you can manage it later, and so there is a record of what was agreed.

Card payments

Card numbers never reach our server. Payments go straight to Stripe, and what comes back to us is a reference, an amount, and whether it worked. We could not see your card details if we wanted to.

Who else sees any of it

Stripe, for payments. Our mail server, for anything you email us. Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site and sees the same request your browser makes. Nobody else — no advertising networks, no data brokers, and no analytics that follow you around other websites.

How long it is kept

Newsletter addresses until you unsubscribe, which is one click at the foot of every issue. Booking and invoice records for as long as the accounts need them. Messages sent through the contact form for about a year.

Your rights

Ask for a copy of anything we hold about you, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted, and we will do it. One email is enough — you do not need to give a reason. Contact.
