Painted floral decoration outside rather than in — unusual in Ottoman architecture — above a working bezistan.
Most Ottoman mosques keep their decoration inside. This one wears it on the façade, which is what gives it the name locals use.
The ground floor is a bezistan — a covered row of small shops built into the structure so the rents maintained the mosque. It still works that way.
It is an active place of worship. Visitors are generally welcome outside prayer times; dress modestly, remove shoes, and ask before photographing people.
